cunico, founded in 1951, is the leading manufacturer of Mil-Spec fittings (nuclear and non-nuclear), and valves for nuclear submarines (SSNs), SSBNs and nuclear aircraft carriers (CVNs), and naval surface ships. Also, thru related company, Dynamic Controls, Ltd., cunico high pressure cartridge valves, reducing stations/manifolds, and the gas supply system for ME-GI gas-injection systems, and bellows sealed globe valves for the nuclear industry, manufactured by BVMI process engineering, a division of Dynamic Controls Ltd.; and, the cartridge valve system for Rocket Launch, which comprises various stop valves, electro-pneumatic stop valves, regulators, and manifolds for the launching of multi-stage rockets, and the individual gas lines for nitrogen, helium and H.P. air.

History

Dynamic Controls, Ltd. (DCL), founded in 1960, is the “Leader by Design” of high pressure cartridge valves, reducing stations/manifolds, and the gas supply system for ME-GI gas-injection systems, and bellows sealed globe valves for the nuclear industry, manufactured by BVMI process engineering, a division of Dynamic Controls.

DCL’s primary market is cartridge valve systems for nuclear submarines (SSNs, SSBNs and diesel electric submarines and aircraft carriers (CVNs) and Navy surface ships. DCL has an installed base of over 54,000 cartridge valves (at Aug. 2014) ,comprising the U.K., USA, Canada, France, Spain, Netherlands, India and several other countries.

DCL also designs and manufactures the cartridge valve system for Rocket Launch, which comprises various stop valves, electro-pneumatic stop valves, regulators, and manifolds for the launching of multi-stage rockets, and the individual gas lines for nitrogen, helium and H.P. air.

“Add-on” Acquisitions

cunico and Dynamic Controls Ltd. are interested in product line, “add-on” acquisitions, which extend our current product line offering. Cunico will pay brokers, intermediaries, and M&A advisors the standard rate for referrals, which result in a completed transaction.

Criteria for “Add-on” Product Acquisitions:

  • Location of acquisitions - North America and Europe
  • Products must be proprietary and unique (non-commodity type of products)
  • Products would be relocated to our new facility in Long Beach, California
  • Type of producst: valves, custom fittings, actuators, manifolds, or proprietary products for submarines
  • End users: The end user of the acquired products should be the U.S. Navy, and the application for the products should be for submarines, aircraft carriers, and/or Navy surfact     ships for North America, Europe and Asia.
  • Size: The “size” of any “add-on” acquisition will be considered up to $100M in annual sales.

In recognition of Dynamic Controls, Ltd. continued sup- port of the Naval Submarine League, the company was presented with the Naval Submarine League’s Five Year Award. The presentation was made by RADM John B. Padgett, USN (Ret), President of the Na- val Submarine League, United States, to Dynamic Con- trols, Ltd. on February 26th, 2013.
